With Author Sara Breaker

Welcome to the Clan-Witch Interviews. I am delighted to introduce another wonderful Indie Author, Sara Breaker!
Sara writes across multi-genres including feel good romance, steampunk and Sci-Fi. Her newest book ‘Save Yourself’ is Book 1 in her new ‘Selfless’ series and is due for released on June 1st 2019! So, this is a great time to find out more about this writer and her work.
Below is the synopsis from her new book, which is available for pre-order now;
‘Dr. Laney Carter is a Nobel-prize-winning physicist with a groundbreaking invention for quantum inter-dimension travel. Two months ago, she disappeared. So did the prototype. So, why are there government trackers hunting down seventeen-year old average high school student Laney Carter in this parallel universe? She’s totally not a genius, but maybe she’ll figure it out in time. Before all the worlds end. Or before they manage to delete her from existence.’
Interview
Q1. What was your inspiration and drive behind your latest book?
My latest book series “Selfless” (specifically “Save Yourself”) is many years in the making. I had this idea over ten years ago. I’ve always wanted to write Sci-Fi, but could never put together a whole plot in my head. So, in the meantime, I wrote other things – mostly sweet high school romance. Then I would go back to this little Sci-Fi plot bunny on and off, until eventually, there were enough bits there (of course, with some romance elements seeping into it) that I told myself I had to actually finish it. It often happens with me that my drive to finish writing a book is that I myself want to know how the story ends.
Q2. What is your writing kryptonite?
Authors who make six figures (or more!) and make it look so easy. They make me feel really inadequate.
Q3. If you could tell your younger self anything, what would it be?
“Stop procrastinating.” I’ve been putting off seriously pursuing writing for so long.
Q4. Tell us about an early experience where you learned that words have power.
I read this pocketbook when I was younger. It started out as a nice little love story. The characters were likable, and the conflict was very interesting – I really wanted to see how they would overcome their challenges. And then, out of the blue, the story just ended. There was no resolution. The couple didn’t end up together. It didn’t have a happy ending. I was SO disappointed, I literally threw the book across the room, and I was almost in a bad mood for the rest of the day.
Q5. What does success look like to you?
I just want to be able to share my stories with more people. Knowing that I reached someone with my words, and maybe turning their gloomy day into a better one because of my stories, would be super amazing. Someone reading one of my books and thinking “That’s not too bad. I want to read another one by her.”
Q6. Tell us what we should look out for from you in the future.
I’ll be coming out with the next books in the “Selfless” series, and during breaks, I might pop out another young adult/new adult romance book. I’ve kind of just started with all the promotional work, so I’ll also be coming out with a magnet, a newsletter, and maybe a website launch as well.
