Welcome to the Clan-Witch Interviews. Next up we have, Allistar Banks, Author of Children’s books; ‘A Colourful Balloon Ride,’ ‘Lenny the Lizard and His Green Scarf,’ and her book of Haiku poetry, ‘Spring Brings Summer.’

Interview

Q1. What was your inspiration and drive behind your latest book?

The inspiration and drive behind A Colorful Balloon Ride –  the story was based off of my kindergarten art teacher Mr. Smith teaching me and my best friend Emily our colors. 

Q2. What is your writing kryptonite?

Internet.

Q3. If you could tell your younger self anything, what would it be?

I would tell myself to not compare myself to others.

Q4. Tell us about an early experience where you learned that words have power.

When I was in college, my college professor told me I needed to change my major and pursue something else.

Q5. What does success look like to you?

Success is seeing children and parents enjoying my books and wanting more stories from me. Also seeing people being inspired by my advice to develop healthy relationships with people and food.

Q6. Tell us what we should look out for from you in the future.

I am working on books called Nosy Nicole’s Great Halloween Ride, Before & After: Alli Finds Her Happy Weight, and Girl Wake Up From Your Bed: Rise From Darkness.
